For those of you that don’t know me yet, I am a necklace fanatic. I have an incredibly eclectic collection. I have to admit though, that I am new to the world of earring collection, but well on my way to a vast array. I am so excited about the new additions to my jewelry collection that I got at Carla Gizzi‘s Pink Bank Girls Night Out! I’ve been wearing them everyday since the event.
Thursday, May 5th Carla Gizzi hosted a Girls Night Out in support of Paint the Town Pink, Riverview Medical Center‘s efforts to raise awareness of the importance of breast cancer prevention, detection and treatment.
Carla always goes above and beyond for her events. She hand makes all of the food and mixes up her own delicious sangria. I think everyone that has read my blog knows by now that I LOVE this store… and Carla! Every corner you turn there is something that surprises and delights you. I spent 4 hours there for last Thursday’s event, and I would come back to an area that I already explored only to find something I hadn’t noticed before.
In addition to the great food and shabby chic home decor and jewelry, Carla had a few other treats for her guests. Nicole Lerario from A Kneaded Vacation had a line of people waiting to get their mini massage. The faces on everyone when they emerged from her chair was enough to make you hop in line, let alone the raving compliments. Reiki Master, Fran Gizzi was conducting mini Reiki sessions. I wish I had the opportunity to have a session with her. I have heard such wonderful things about both Reiki and Fran. Angie of Sweetest Sin Boutique was booking up appointments for bra fittings after informing ladies of the importance and benefits of having your girls properly fitted. I found out that 85% of women are wearing the wrong size bra. What are we thinking?… Our bra is an essential part of our wardrobe and I discovered that a properly fit can make you look ten pounds skinnier. WOW, you know I went in that Saturday and was sized! I want to thank Carla for inviting me to showcase my work as well. I met a great group of ladies and the feedback about my work so exciting to hear. Thank you ladies!
At every event held during Paint the Town Pink pledge sheets are available for women to pledge to have their annual mammogram and contribute to another woman’s mammography through the pink donation banks.
So, the next time you see an event at Carla Gizzi‘s come on over and have some fun, good food, make new friends, support a good cause, and go home with some fabulous vintage inspired, shabby chic finds!
