As women, we are all pulled in so many directions and where so many hats –
mom, wife, employee, volunteer, friend, daughter – that sometimes taking care of ourselves takes a backseat. We all need a little me time to rest and recharge our batteries. But when life gets crazy and it’s easy to lose site of the things that are most important, including keeping ourselves feeling empowered, confident and self aware.
Here are some tips that anyone can fit into their day at least once a week that will keep you feeling great!
1. Remind Yourself You’re Worth It
Take a minute or two every morning to look at yourself in the mirror and say self affirmations. Sure at first it may feel strange, but once you get used it, you’ll find your confidence is soaring and you will truly see how wonderful you are!
2. Pamper Yourself
Let’s be real, we don’t all have the money or the time to go to the spa all the time. But with a little pre planning you can take 15 minutes and give yourself a relaxing mini facial to feel refreshed and recharged. Shut yourself in your room or bathroom, clean your face, put on a luxurious clay face mask for 10 minutes while you read a book and sip a cup of tea or lay down and meditate, and feel restored.
3. Plan A Girls Lunch
Sometimes all we need to feel great is some time with the girls, laughing and catching up over lunch. Find a day that you can get away and, even if it’s just for a half an hour, grab lunch with your girlfriends. No excuses can be made and the lunch has to happen!! You’ll be glad you did!!
4. Go For A Walk
Get your blood pumping with a simple walk around the block. Whether for 5 minutes or you have a whole hour, getting moving will make you feel better and you’ll be ready to tackle more with more energy.
