My shoot with makeup artist Jan Murphy and hair stylist Mallory Zenner for BeautyxBracelets was white hot this month!

For this 60s inspired shoot, set poolside at a home overlooking the Navesink River, Jan took white eye liner to the next level. While still using the liner as it’s traditionally used, along the lower water line to brighten the eye, she also used black eye liner to create a bold contrast and retro vibe.

Mallory channeled the big hair of the 60s, giving both models hair styles that feel like they could be seen at a swanky Hollywood pool party during that era. Coupled with the makeup it takes on a more modern feel.

For the poolside shoot, we finished off each models’ look with these super cute retro bikinis we found on Amazon. High-waisted bottoms and super sweet tops with bold prints, like pineapples, made for a cool throw back feel, while still being something you could rock at your next pool party.

Coupled with oversized sunglasses from Eyes on First Ave, chunky white bracelets from Oriana LaMarca Designs and bold colored vintage earrings, the 60s style and opulent vibe were all on display.
