Why I Don’t Photograph Men (And Why That’s a Good Thing)

I get asked this question often. Let me clear the air—It’s not that I can’t or won’t photograph men. I can, I have and I still do from time to time. But here’s the thing: just because you can do something doesn’t mean it’s where your heart and purpose truly live.

For me, my work isn’t just about taking pictures. It’s about transformation. It’s about creating a space where women feel seen, celebrated, and a little braver than when they walked in to the studio. It’s about building someone up in ways that last long after the session is over.

And that’s where my focus is—on women.

Men's Portraits

I Specialize in Women’s Confidence

Photographing women is my superpower. Over the years, I’ve learned exactly how to pose, guide, and direct so a woman doesn’t just look confident in her images—she feels it in the moment. I know the little tweaks that make posture stronger, expressions more genuine, and energy shift from “I’m nervous” to “I’ve got this.”

It’s not just about knowing how to use light or compose a shot—it’s about connection. Over the years, I’ve learned to notice when someone is holding back and how to gently guide them into feeling more at ease. That’s when the real magic happens in my work.

Why Men Aren’t My Focus

Men absolutely deserve to feel confident and seen in their photos too—but my approach, my posing, and my energy are fine-tuned to women. It’s where my instincts kick in. It’s where I know I can deliver my absolute best work.

By narrowing my focus, I get to go deeper into my craft instead of spreading myself thin trying to be everything to everyone. My clients know they’re getting someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes women’s portraiture—and that’s exactly why they come to me.

This Is About Doing What I Do Best

At the end of the day, I choose to work where my passion and expertise align. My studio is a place for women to step into their power, whether that’s through boudoir, beauty portraits, or personal branding sessions.

I photograph women because this work moves me. It’s a chance to pour my energy into something that not only lights me up, but changes how women see themselves and are seen.

And if that’s you? Then we’re already a perfect match.

If you’re ready to step in front of my lens and feel that shift for yourself, I’d love to create something just for you.
